An intricate and strongly contrasting trio for flute, clarinet, and alto saxophone—contains timbral trills and other extended techniques. Marked by dense fugal sections which are interlaced with lyricism, rhythmic intensity, and disjointed melodic writing. Inspired by our life in the 21st century, as we are increasingly dominated by those glowing rectangles in our pockets. Composed for the Vent Trio.
